The No-Trade Zone

A short look at the No-Trade Zone: the price band where an LPX pool holds instead of trading, and what happens at the top and bottom edges.

A short animated explainer of the mechanism. No wallet, chain, or transaction is involved. Last verified 10 July 2026.

The pool waits while the price is in the middle. It sells near the top edge and buys near the bottom edge.

Read the steps instead
  1. The No-Trade Zone is a price band.
  2. While the price stays inside the band, the pool holds. It does not trade.
  3. When the price rises to the top edge, the Sell Price, the pool sells the fund token.
  4. When the price falls to the bottom edge, the Buy Price, the pool buys the fund token back.
  5. In between, nothing happens.
  6. After a trade, the band moves to follow the price, without changing its size.

Ratios, Not Dollars

A short look at LPX's core idea: a pool is measured as the ratio of two tokens — a Fund side and an Anchor side — not in dollars. When the pool sells Fund it buys Anchor at the same time, so a move that looks wrong in dollars can be right in token terms.

A short animated explainer of the mechanism. No wallet, chain, or transaction is involved. Last verified 10 July 2026.

LPX counts your pool in tokens, not dollars. When it sells one side it buys the other. A move can look bad in dollars but be right in tokens.

Read the steps instead
  1. LPX does not think in dollars. It thinks in the ratio of two tokens.
  2. The Fund token is the token you want yield on, for example WPLS.
  3. The Anchor token is the other side, often a stablecoin like DAI. Your yield is claimed in Anchor.
  4. Selling is buying. When the pool sells Fund, it buys Anchor at the same time.
  5. Every move is a swap of one side for the other, measured in tokens, not dollars.
  6. Judge it in dollars and a right move can look wrong. In ratio terms, the pool traded an expensive token for more of a cheap one.
